DLR service changes from 28 June 2008
An intensive programme of works is in place on DLR to meet passenger growth by extending platforms to enable three-carriage trains to operate from 2010, increasing capacity by 50%.
This work has resulted in a number of service changes across the railway, including the temporary closure of Tower Gateway station until spring 2009 and reduced services between Lewisham and Crossharbour until 25 August 2008.
Services will operate as follows:

Trains between Lewisham and Crossharbour have reduced to every 10 minutes with services operating Lewisham-Island Gardens and Island Gardens-Bank, with a cross platform interchange at Island Gardens until 25 August 2008. Four supplementary bus services operate during weekday peak periods.
Tower Gateway station is closed until Spring 2009.
Services to/from Stratford alternate between Canary Wharf and Poplar at a 5 minute frequency during weekday peak periods. Canary Wharf is a short walk from Poplar. At all other times trains from Stratford terminate at Canary Wharf.
Bank-King George V services operate every 10 minutes throughout the day.
Trains from Beckton terminate at Canning Town where passengers can change to Bank services.
Service disruptions and closures will also take place across the railway, particularly at weekends. Please check before you travel.
